Thaicats featured in Sports Boat and RIB magazine in the November edition's round up of the stars of the Southampton boat show.
"Catamarans make sense. You get a soft ride, stability at rest, space on board, fuel economy and the knowledge that, if one engine breaks, the other will get you home. What you don't get is sex appeal but if you can look past the snub-nosed bluntness of these Thaicats, there's plenty to get excited about.
These 6.2 metre boats, manufactured in Thailand, come in two basic forms -'CC', with a forward cabin or 'TT', as an open day boat equipped to carry nine people. With twin Mercury 100s, these things are topping out at around 40 knots, with fuel returns in the region of 18 litres at 20 knots and 28 litres at 30 knots. Smaller, twin 40hp motors can be fitted for the frugal and the retired."
We're looking forward to reading the review after their test drive in the Autumn
